    ACS Creech Award Winner 2017

    Evans High School Chemistry & Physics Teacher, Anita Gangwani, won the American Chemical Society - Savannah River local section Creech Award for the CSRA. On December 20, 2017, members of the committee presented her with an honorary plaque and a $500 cash prize in addition to $250 granted to the school for laboratory supplies.     ACS-SR Holiday Awards Dinner Meeting

    On Friday December 1st, 2017, the ACS Savannah River local section and the AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) hosted a joint Holiday Dinner Meeting at Oliviana’s in Augusta, Georgia. To continue the yearly tradition, awards and thanks were given to the 37 society members, guests, and office members in attendance. Maria Kriz was presented a plaque to thank her for her time and dedication to the society as Chair for 2017, Katie Heroux was presented with an ACS pin
